So I was given a set of handlebars with P-JDM shim kit and mount. I wanted to put these on my Ruckus but then remembered when I put dirt bike bars on my liter bike how I had to purchase new cables and what not for throttle, brakes, wiring etc. I know because I am lowering them the issue might be too much length for brakes and throttle. Can anyone tell me if I need to purchase new cables?

I'm sure this has been covered before. I wasn't able to find the thread outlining this so any direction or input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've only seen lowering the bars and installing an extended engine mount done at the same time. Or more common vice versa -- you put on an extended engine mount and have to lower the bars so your brake and throttle cable will reach.

You could always put on an aftermarket engine mount to take up the slack. I'm not really sure what you'd do if you only lower the bars.
