The valve covers / cylinder heads on mine don't look like the pitster motor.
his motor is a different clone, GPX or something like that. pitster pro is their primary importer. people use them for swaps also.
that being said, I have to confess, my obsession has shifted to minis. For the price, they're a hell of a lot more fun than a ruckus
Here's what I've been up to;
Went to Austin to pick up my future grom killer. I've got a lot of plans for this one!
note the color of the engine case changes...
and then a local and I paired up to buy this lot for basically nothing out of an old barn.
I chose this Trail, sold the other to my cousin for some booze, and Kevin got the little monkey.
i've learned lots…chains, points, a whole new variation of valve adjustments, dealing with 30+ years of rust, reviving old Honda's has been a blast. I've also come to possess a XR70R, a C70, EZ90 and a ton of parts. the bug bit again for sure. ha
Here's one last, with both the monkey and the trail on the lift. The trail is getting the cylinder honed and replacing all the gaskets, seals, rings, etc... (to be my new daily!) I've had some woes with the monkey and oil cooler lines but I finally got it sorted here recently and that one just needs the harness all connected and it should be ready to get registered. The trail should be close behind!
'till the next time I get out of the garage long enough to post!
Front frame can go to hell.
