I have no pics
and I remember a slot cut in the handlebar tube I think
I wouldnt do it myself its a mess and the throttle tends to stick alot I always have to lube it
and im not even sure if the bars are 7/8 because you do need to buy some specific parts for the ct 70 to do the mod

well changed out the rear sprocket to 3 teeth smaller
not really to gain top speed but more to lower the rpm's
and now it really feels like all my old bikes really easy to cruise at 30 mph in 3rd gear
where before I could cruise in 4th at 30 mph

tried one quick high speed run and needle got way over my usual stop point on the speedo
I try not to run my bikes at top speed, at least the larger sized engines
the small ones you just have to, to keep up with traffic

so the change in rpm fooled me when I was able to look down saw how much more top speed it has
cant really feel any decrease in acceleration but on such a small light bike I wasnt really concerned

maybe it will also help with mpg since I only have a 1/2 gallon tank I need all the help I could get
one thing I really didnt think of at the time I was putting the 140cc engine in

probably should of stuck with a 125 or even 110 if I could of found one with the shift pattern I wanted

Went on a little shopping spree last week. Decided to get over trying to keep the bike as original as I can and get a couple things so its easier to ride it more.
Im stopping at this point I know there are a ton more new parts you can do just needed a way to carry more fuel. I can go about 35 miles on the tank before filling and got tired of carrying fuel in a bag.

Bought a sub tank that mounts on the side. Seems around 1/4 gallon so that should add 15 miles hopefully.
Also bought a small rear rack so I can strap my little bag of fuel bottles and not have it weighing me down on my shoulder.

Then just because got more of a dirtbike kickstart level. All stainless steel. Did order a nice looking aluminum shift lever too but my engine case is so wide it wont work. And the new lever is so thick I cant really modify it any without scratching it up so just wont use it. Also because of my engine case and the design of the kickstart lever I now have less of a kick to start the engine, which I dont like but can live with that
