Post subject: Gy6 and Ruckus bolt sizes
PostPosted: Mon Aug 02, 2010 9:40 am
I'm not great at figuring out bolt sizes, so may be a dumb question but humor me if you know please :D I'm trying to plan for the final build that will take place over the next few months to actually clean up the scoot and make it look nice for once aft owning it for several years.

Anyone know what size the bolts are that hold the cvt cover on for a long case gy6? Also, the rotor bolt size, and if you're feeling generous the pinch bolt size for the forks?

Thanks in advance for helping out a bolt dummy.

I have never even seen a GY6 up close, but my guess is 7 or 10mm for the cover.

Check it. I was riding the other day and all but 1 bolt on my CVT Cover stayed on so I just zip tied everything.

Then i was looking to replacing the bolts and I could not find them anywhere so I went with an allen set up that I found at a hardware store.

There are 11 botls total, depending on what cover you have, they are all 8mm. 2 are m6x65,2 are m6x35 and the rest should be m6x45. m6 is the type of bolt and the number after the x is the leangth. the main leangth you want on all the holes are 2in. I suggest to put thread lock on it when you do replace it.

Hope that helps!
