Post subject: R6 TAIL LIGHT BLINKING SLOW???
PostPosted: Tue May 24, 2016 11:07 am
Ok so alittle run down. I have stock lights up front but installed a r6 tail light with a 552 flasher for the led. For some reason I just noticed the tail light has a slight pulsation and the turning signals blink like 60 seconds apart. I have googled the problem and have searched here but it seems everyone has the opposite problem of the blinkers being to fast. So am I getting to much resistants because before I had the porcelain block resistors wired in and it blinked like it should but now with the flasher in and the resistors removed its super slow.

I also noticed last night when I started it the battery clicked a couple times like a dead battery but then fired up but the headlight was very dim until I gave it some throttle and the battery got brighter. I know its not the battery because it was just replaced. So my next guess would be stator. Anyone agree that's the problem or could It be something else??? Any help would be awesome

Use a multimeter on the battery. Should be 12v or close when the bike is off and higher when running. You can also increase the idle if it is low. That will help with the dimming. You just don't want to go too high or the clutch will start to engage. Hope that helps
