---i met the ohlins group at bike week at harley world in ormond bch,fl,,, they had an exhibit set up,,, i told them about my BR, the cannonball and my ohlins shock,,, they had me bring it in the show area and park it in front of their tent,,, :banana

---while talking to mike h/ support mgr,,, he advised me to have my shock serviced with 16000mi's on it, especially with the extremes that i push the scooter in the CBR... :spanking

---sooo, it's on the way back to the 'mother ship' in hendersonville, nc,,, i'll report back on the amount of damage they do to my wallet..... :meh:

---here's what was replaced,,, piston ring,,, seal head assembly,,, spring...

---the tuners at ohlins said i needed a different spring configuration due my aggressive riding style in the cannonball... :meh:

---they gave me a 'national competitor' discount, after my interview and exhibit at bikeweek... :banger:

---here's the charges BEFORE the discount...

----service for st36 type shock----------------$125
----piston ring-----------------------------------$8
----seal assy-------------------------------------$22
----spring 46/230/pr20-29 yellow--------------$62 with trade-in
----shipping both ways--------------------------$30

----TOTAL------------------------------------------$247 :shock:

---so pucker up boys,,, the big weinie coming for you, sooner or later........!!! :moon: :happydance

---i had no choice with getting it serviced,,, the shock had started to bottom out in extreme situations... :wasted:

---------in a 10 day cannonball(3400mi's),,, the STOCK shock wears out in 8 days!!! :suicide:
----------my dealer replaced it twice under my warranty...
