Anyone use this kit? Am I right in reading that I would just have to have the right exhaust and obviously a tire and be done? Here is the site, its down at the bottom: scootermission.com

I was one of the first to purchase this kit...and the first to run the Innova tire on it. Kit works flawlessly, if you plan on mounting a "round fatty" tire then this kit is simply mount and go. I had to fab a spacer to put over the spline to push the tire away from the drive case...cause it rubbed. As far as the exhaust go's i bought the carbon fiber Yosh TRC exhaust. This has the mounting flange welded to the pipe so i had to bend the pipe and really bend the mounting bracket to clear the innova tire. If you don't want to do that then buy the "clocked" gokubuto version from Bowls (which is always sold out) or seek a different style exhaust. I know Scooter Missions site says a yosh will work, but the TRC yosh needs some modifying to clear any fatty tire.

Here are some vids of me taking my S2 fatty for its maiden voyage, before i re-jetted the carb.

P.S. you better have aftermarket handlebars (lower than stock) or your stock brake and throttle cables won't be long enough. You'll prolly have to extend your fuel line as well. Most stretch kits come with longer cables and fuel line but this kit does not. Just FYI.

Thanks for all the info. It looked pretty much mount and go but I figured I would ask. Thanks again.

It was clear down at the bottom of the "ruckus" page.

Forgot to mention that if you plan on running the innova tire on this kit you'll need to have a kickstand. The tire rubs on the stock centerstand in the up position, which is no good. You will also have to ditch your stock oil dipstick, or shave the shit out of it. Here are some pics to help you visualize this stuff. Peace.

The difference in size between the stock tire and the Innova Fatty.
Here is a link where i got my tire from:

The tight clearance between the tire and the oil filler area. (Much tighter than it looks)
Oil cap is from Battlescooter.

The final finished product!!

What would you say if i told you i had them make me two spacers, and the second one is collecting dust in my toolbox? Or you can just get a round fatty tire and negate the need for the spacer.

Edit: Also this tire is a bit shorter (overall height) than the stock tire so if your anywhere near or above 200lbs in weight you'll prolly hit your rev limiter around 35mph....at least that's what happend to me....a cdi is the cure for this issue...obviously.

Wouldn't you be better off swapping in Met gears? Seems like it would be alot of unnecessary tax on your engine just to hit 40mph...

that's not the wheel leaning in that's the engine leaning to the left.

only true fix is solid engine mount bushings
