Looks like a flimsy mount to me. I would yell at the person that made it for you It's always better to get things right the first time by buying things that are known to work rather than getting one made for your scooter, unless the person making it is amazing at what they do. Look into other shock mounts. I just bought one from composimo, they're prob the best option for low price. BATMAN also sells one.
if this is your ruckus.. Id say.. Your using too long of shock arm with a GY6 sock. Either go with a RUCKUS shock, or shorten your shock arm The angle of the shock should not be so UP/DOWN more more of a angle..
Its a guess... thas all that i can see that looks differ on yours then everyone else's...
here is the shock arm I made...
My shock is at more of an angle then most... but still thats what youd prob want to do. (my shock is off a GY6).
i got the shock mount in and put it on. it wouldn't fit where the original shock was mounted (the rear hole) so i moved the shock to the forward mount. is this ok to do? also it doesn't give much clearance for the rear fender on that mount location. is there an extension or something that could be got to make the shock fit in the rear location?
yeah thats how my donor scooter came also. I'm positive you'll need to run the shock at the forward location. I'm looking at the distance between the rear frame and the rear wheel that not right.
Here is a video of my other GY6 ruckus. with a $150 used BUM mount..
Seeing how long your points are on that rear frame.. It needs to be sucked up closer to that rear frame.. (well.. thats just a guess)... mojo does sell a nice cheap weld on mount for like $80.. You seem like a DIY kinda person, so maybe think about buying one of his mounts.. Replicate it yourself (keep the replicated version for you) and then re-sell the unused mojo mount for 90% of what you paid...
don't really want to cut the mount off, that would be a major last resort. i put the stock GET shock on and it fit just fine. (would be better if it was a bit longer) do you know of any shocks that are skinny but longer than the stock GET one?
