Post subject: gy6 harness for swap?
PostPosted: Mon Jan 02, 2012 9:13 pm
So after stripping down my donor scooter I don't see why more people don't fully remove the stock get harness and adapt the gy6 harness to the ruck. Is it because most of you are buying all the parts seperate? Maybe I missed something but if I not this will be the way I attempt the install.

Thanks in advance for any I site!

I like how you say search, which I have by the way, I was really looking to bring up a current discussion on it. I guess pulling my post off the main page and adding it to a broken link sticky makes sense... :pissed:

That's a good question man. I often wonder if it's just because if the particular differences in the wiring run or something more complicated. I just started my ruck after wiring it up using this harness schematic. I am sure it would have been quicker to simply completely swap the donor harness.

So then it does come down to wiring run. Probably a few other areas of issue as well.
