**Update** Re-Uploaded! I didn't realize this had been down for a few months. Sorry guys!

*Update* Fixed the two issues (missing black wire on left controls and ground added for 3 wire flasher) thx dcee1. I know I have been slacking on the other diagrams, I apologize. I will try to get those up asap. For now, here is the update:

I have been working on a wiring diagram for the past few weeks. It is a work in progress. If you see a mistake or have a comment about it, let me know. It made swapping a whole lot easier and I think it will help a lot of people. The diagram covers everything, CDI, rectifier/regulator, stator, left/right controls, relay for stater, solenoid, ignition, auto-choke, coil etc.

The diagram is for the 11-pole upgrade with a 5 wire CDI, but should still help people with a 6 or 8-pole. I will follow up with a 6-8 pole diagram. You just need to change a few wires. I personally recommend upgrading to an 11-pole, especially if you are running the stock headlights. I do want to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to explain wiring on the forum. I wouldn't have been able to finish my swap without that information. I have finished 4 swaps now and I have learned a lot in the process.

I wish a diagram like this would have been around when I first started! It would have saved me a lot of headache and frustration. :headbashing:

can you splice your stock ruck harness into this on a gy6? please help pm me somebody ineed help and answers lol

Yes you can. This would be like making a makoa harness.

I have a question about the kill switch wiring.

It looks like you have the white/black wire coming off the cdi and going to the ignition relay (key kills engine)
Then you have the black/red wire coming from the stator going, through the kill switch, then to the cdi.

Whereas this would work, I am wondering if the white/black wire could be ran to both the ignition relay and through the kill switch (with ground on the other side of each) to kill the engine. My logic is.. the black/red wire is used to charge the cdi, where the white/black wire has a sole purpose of killing the engine. Any harness i have made, i just ran the black/red wire straight to the cdi and used a key to kill the bike.

Thanks for your post it cleared up the confusion I was having with the kill switch. All the other gy6 diagrams had a kill switch that just grounded. I didn't realize it was so you can use the kill switch to shut off the engine and also use the key to shut it off. I would of connected the AC lead and the kill switch lead backwards. I wish the CDI was drawn with the connections on it to clarify.

Also is the black wire coming off of the Rectifier a positive wire? Thanks
