Not sure where you've been, but the original post is about as detailed as it could be for a forum.

Anything more detailed would come with a multimeter, wire multi-tool, a DVD, and a book with a title like, The Complete Idiots Guide to Electricution, Frustration, and Destruction of Two Perfectly Good Scooters.

Nope, no pictures. Didn't have a free mech. to take the shots, and I was on a time crunch. As mentioned in the original post... A SCHEMATIC IS IN THE WORKS.

Followed the thread from scratch, had my GY6 running in a weekend. Didn't finish the last part of the peripherals cause I found an oil leak when I took it around the block. :( So I gotta pull the engine and redo the gaskets.

But the instructions were top notch, very easy to follow! If anyone is concerned about their ability to do it... just start, read this and some other FAQ threads such as GY6 wiring: what wire does what? here is your answer and you'll figure it out as you go along.

I hope someone can help me sort out the final details of my wiring. I have searched and read the GY6 swap wiring stickys but I still can't seem to decifer how to get my kill switch to function and function properly. I am using the 8 pole relay 4 into 2 method for hooking up my ignition and I get the lights and horn and indicators to work and the engine cranks but I just can't figure out how to wire in the kill switch. If someone can tell me which wires to hook where and to which to get the kill switch to work properly/normally so that it just cuts spark and not accessories the way it works on a stock Ruckus or any motorcycle for that matter, I would be eternally grateful.

So....here are the wires I am working with.

GY6 Ignition:
- Red
- Black
- Black/White
- Green

Ruckus Kill Switch:
- Black/Red
- Black/White

Ruckus Ignition:
- Red/Green
- Red/Blue

I assume these are all the wires I should need to get this to work. If there are others I a missing to the equation please enlighten me.

Here is a shot of the mess.

I'm going to get busy on my wiring this weekend..

Quote:
NOTE: Take extra time with your GY6 Harness to identify (by multi-meter is best) what wire does what and/or determine the voltage load on each wire when the bike is RUNNING! I’ll be referring to some of these numbers as we go, and you get real mired up in the crud if you don’t take this time early on.

I'm going to use a multi-meter, but where do I put the meter to test the voltage since the bike will be running? This is a stupid question, I know, but it's at the start of the wiring at the harness on the GY6 right?

EDIT: just bought a snap-on multimeter from the pawn shop (so I know it has soul)..gonna go out and start poking around today :banger:
