Post subject: Stock Fuel pump with the GY6
PostPosted: Tue Sep 16, 2008 11:28 am
i have been searching (when TR doesnt time out LOL) and havent found much.

Quote:
The only thing that needs to be done for the stock pump to work is to hook up the gy6 pulser wire(mine was blue/white off the stater then red/white after the plug) to the Ruckus pulser wire(blue/yellow) and the ecu keeps the pump running while the motor is running.

is about all i could find.

what kind of signal is the pump looking for? i see two wires, is it looking for a pulse wire and ground? what?

any help will be nice and hopefully when this place updates is bbs software and can search by subject it will be easy to find again LOL

There is a blue/yellow test wire that comes off the ECU. I use that wire as a signal for my tach. Connect that to the red/white wire off the GY6 stator.

Thanks

has anyone figured this one out yet. all i know that the stock ecu sends 5 pulses to the fuel pump (when you turn the key to the on position) to prime the bowl. after starting the pulse rate increases with rpm and only pumps gas when the float allows. was thinking of using a momentary switch to send 5 pulses manually before starting. what should i do...
