Please post this often asked question here so we don't have 10 separate threads asking the same thing.

Anyone know how difficult it would be to adapt the GY6's rear disc brake when doing the swap?

Pics!

You just need the proper length rear brake line, and use the master cylinder hardware off of the donor bike.

Well put. here is my how-to on swapping. buy two vehicles. take all the crap off one and install on the other. listen to girlfriend/wife whine about parts of vehicle everywhere for a few days/weeks/years. drive swap.

oh yeah, Thor>Donar.. If you are not ready to do a swap, don't do it!

I think Vento and Sunl along with TGB are the most commonly known gy6 variants.

Sure, just have to figure out how to mount everything up. Anything is possible, it's just time and money + skill.

Time: NOT SO MUCH
Money: EVEN LESS
Skills: DON'T EVEN ASK

Money is all you need to make anything happen. You don't have that then you don't have nothing.

You could have time but no skills / money, you can't make it happen.

You could have skills but no time / money, you can't make it happen.

But if you have money but no time / skills, you can pay someone who does.

at this point i think the ad duped me into thinking it was the long case due to the info about the wheel size...ive won the auction but he has ran out and is waiting on a shipment already ported just waiting on customs paperwork to clear.

i told him that i do not want the 10" wheel but rather the 13" wheel so he recommended to me that i go to the warehouse and check out his stuff..ill let you know how it goes on either friday or monday...

Does longcase and short case just mean how far the wheel will sit back basically? Are the engine mounts going to be the same on the longcase as well as th shortcase???
