I left mine alone! Who knows if you would get more sound or performance from drilling it. My sound changed when I added the longer bigger pipe though.

I just welded one up last night.. I'm VERY impressed by the tone, after running open head for a week the B&S muffler is kind of quiet lol
Performance wise it gave me a buttload of torque and it only seems to be choking the top end a little
Btw!! I'm using a Met header, NOT a ruckus one, the met has a much much larger ID pipe.. It had a better tone open header than a ruck does and I'm sure my B&S muffler sounds different than if it were on a ruck
