I have learned that I really do not like the shave.

Perhaps I took too much off.

Seemed to be chewing up belts, even pinching belt instead of pushing it outward. Back on a normal drive face and staying there.

Ya only want to take off a bit.
If ya take off too much the belt will not go down on the variator like it's supposed to.
Me, I shaved some off, inverted the face with some machine washers and the boss, hand tightened the nut, and started the engine
..bam! GET lathe.... I shaved a bit down low to accommodate the shave. Works well for me. Now about 15kmiles on this one.
Note.... read first page... dont forget machine washer behind variator if shaving more than the splines on the shaft will allow before final nut shreddage.

I've considered trying a shave again. But, I'm just going to stick with a stock drive face for now.
