Gasket sealed good. Dirty jets?

I was wondering if it was a cracked rubber manifold.

What does a bad engine sound like? Bent valves?

Pretty sure i found the problem!! Looks like carb manifold (metal piece) failed. It cracked and one side of the hole mounts fell apart. Explains overly lean...

Why do you guys go the PC20 over the PE20? It's a much better carb.

After running the PZ20 I got from JC racing a few weeks ago I have a few observations

1) I think there's a lot more complaints on here about this carb than it warrants

2) I'm pretty sure most people are trying to run too rich, I do great on a 38sj/87mj on a 66.6cc motor with a velocity stack and a jardine/mnnthbx exhaust. If your stocker 50cc is within a few hundred feet of sea level and you're running richer jets and can't stay in tune think about this a bit. I'm flowing extremely freely and I'm probably burning fuel quite a bit more efficiently than your 49er at 48/104 or whatever.

3) If you run good but have trouble starting you need to learn how to choke a bitch.

I read this whole thread before install, expecting a fight with jetting. But found lowrizzles comments spot on! :banger:

FYI Graph. I gathered some info from the net on Mikuni Carbs and their flows. May parallel the PC20's. Blue line is the info from the web and the red an extrapolation.

20mm carb should flow ~ 20 cfm which matches the intake valve flow.

Hey guys I have a ruckus that had a Sheng Wey PC20 when I bought it.

Stock GET engine
Air filter looks like it came from the Bowls carb kit
32 slow jet
85 main jet
BR quick change exhaust (I was having this problem before I installed the exhaust)
Polini Hi-Speed variator

I am having trouble with the Idle when I got from full throttle to a stop like a light or a stop sign. The RPMs drop to 1100-1200 then slowly climb to over 3000 over the course of 45-60 seconds. Then the RPMs come back down to 1700-1900 where I want it. I have the idle screw about 2 turns out and the idle is around 1800 RPM when its sitting and warm. Does anyone know what is causing this issue? It will not stay idling until its well warmed up for the first 15 minutes I have the nurse the throttle. Kinda confused.

Hey Guys.... Just finish installing my PC20 and so far it's been good. She will bog if you wing open the throttle at launch but has no other issues through out the rpm range. My current setup is as follows:

Needle at the lowest
MJ 95
SJ 32
BP exhaust
Uni 2" filter
1.5 to 2 inch intake pipe w/ 45 degree bend
NCY CDI
NYC HE Coil
Polini Var w/ 5 gram sliders & Polini belt

After some idle adjustment she ran pretty good and I was able to get close to 45 but I was kind of hoping a bigger difference in power. Any idea on what can be done to get past the slight bog at low rpm?

So far I've done the following:
Changed out the SJ from a 35 to 32. This helped start up and idling a lot.
Adjusted the A/f screw to try and fix the bogging.
Test drove ---45 mph
Changed out SJ to 30 and MJ to 92
Wouldn't start.
Changed back to SJ 32, kept 92 MJ
92 MJ was lean and breaking up in the mid range
Changed out MJ to 95 and adjusted needle to lowest position.
Have no yet tested this set up.

Any advice would be nice. I've been kicking around the ideas of getting 5.5 sliders...

12supraman, try lifting the needle position to half or more. I believe this allows more fuel between idle and wot, decreasing the bog.
