Varroa is correct, if the clutch is still spinning at above engagement rpm then the motor is still spinning and sucking in fuel. You can test this out for yourself by getting up to speed and turning off the ignition and as long as the clutch is still engage you can turn the ignition back on and the motor will fire right up. I've done this many a times on long (miles) down hill runs.

So how much of the unburnt fuel changes anything if at all...I have no clue. But what I do for a plug test is as soon as I kill the motor I also kill the throttle to minimize fuel intake and stop the bike as quickly as possible to minimize the motor turning over.

Yeah, I switch of the kill switch, key switch, and come to a stop as quickly as possible.
I have also noticed that my belt is fully extended. Makes changing variators/weights a snap!!

I am needing a jet Jedi. I have been racing and tuning 4 wheelers most my of my adult life and have never run into this problem. I have a new 2012 ruck with a K&N filter with holes drilled in the air box and Yoshi stainless pipe. After reading a bunch of threads on here, I started out with 85/38 jets. the 38 seems to be perfect when riding and checking the plug. At half throttle, my Ruck nose dives and sputters. When I pull the plug, it is white. This should mean that it is very lean. I am now up to a 105 jet and it runs all the way up to about 33 before it starts popping a little. Using the web page to check jets on the first post, I am around pic 22 to 23. I have not seen anyone have this same issue with this large of a jet. I ordered 108, 110, 112, and 115 jets today. Has anyone else run into this problem? Oh yeah, I am at 460 foot above sea level.

Thanks

Which one boss?

Unless it was soaked with gas i've never gotten good readings off pulling the spark plug on a ruckus. Just my experience. I'd say it's okay to start with a 38 slow jet but go back to the 75 main and go up one size at a time.
You'll be able to recognize your symptoms to your jetting better.

I think I need a little more MJ. This is a 38/80. Might try my 82 MJ.
