Post subject: Pricing - Lightened Flywheels (UPDATE 2-2016) PICS 1st post
PostPosted: Wed Apr 08, 2009 6:10 am
Below are the prices. Pm me if you have any questions.
All below Options are only available by PM'ing me directly or emailing me at jc250r31@aol.com

Flywheel Options:
Flywheel Removal Tools are $20.00 shipped. Higher Quality by Motion Pro

**UPDATE**
If you want to send in your flywheel from any make/model, have me lighten it, perform no other work (like beadblasting) and ship it back to you - The price is $50.00 shipped. Please PM me for details or my address to send your flywheel to.

A) Price is $65.00 Shipped. You send your flywheel to me, Once lightened, I ship back to you. Turnaround time for this option is usually 1 day. This includes all flywheels for almost any engine. PM me if you have something you want done that is out of the ordinary, etc.
A1) Price is $20.00 shipped for a flywheel removal tool. Once you receive the tool, remove your flywheel and send the tool back (Or keep it if you wish) If the tool is returned the price of your flywheel is $55.00 shipped back to you.
B) Price is $130.00 Shipped. I send you a pre-lightened flywheel. You are purchasing this item outright. See below if you are interested in selling back your stock flywheel.
C) Price is $150.00 Shipped. I send you a pre-lightened flywheel and the removal tool. You are purchasing both items outright. See below if you are interested in selling back your stock flywheel and the tool. (This is the most popular option.)

I will buy back stock flywheels and the tool, PM or email for more details.(This is for people returning their stock flywheel after a purchase.

I got hold of quite a few flywheels for cheap so I am passing this savings to you. If I run out because people decide to keep them again; then I may have to go up in price later on.

Here is a very brief process that is being done in case anyone is interested in knowing.
First, the flywheel is machined to my specs. I have done way too many flywheels other than just the Ruckus; I know how much can safely be removed to increase performance and not decrease reliability or worst yet, result in a flywheel failure due to trying to remove too much material.
Secondly, the flywheel is blasted with medium glass beads to accomplish 2 things, 1)To remove all rust and corrosion 2)To close the pores of the metal after machining to help prevent rust.
Thirdly, an Anti-rust preventative is applied to the flywheel and allowed to dry leaving an invisible film.

If for some reason you wanted your flywheel lightened and not have me do steps 2 and 3 just let me know as it will be cheaper. I do not like to let ugly/rusty things leave the shop but if you must to save a buck I will oblige you.

Here is a pic of the way most flywheels look when I receive them, if not worse.

And after the lightening 3 step process.

I can do it on any flywheel. I will have to see the flywheel to determine how much can be taken off, if anything.
