at least on my all stock ruckus I felt no difference, but no loss either
which is fine, I hate when I get negative results from a mod
maybe one day with other mods this will help out

i bet you could take some more weight off the flywheel by lathing some material off the face as well. could also experiment with opening up any of the holes on the face more or adding some.... just a thought.

if you make it too light when you roll to a stop the engine slows you down very fast, like an engine brake
I was afraid of this and had even bought another flywheel just incase that happened. It didnt.
He also did my zuma 125 flywheel too and again no engine braking which is great. I like how far I can coast to a stop.
Now maybe because they wernt super light I didnt get the engine braking like others have in the past done by other companies.
But both my flywheels I did not feel any difference in performance. But since I have 2 scooters its harder to tell because they are both way different from eachother so its hard to remember the feel for something if your not riding it every day. And both of the scooters I didnt ride for a couple weeks so I probably lost any feel I had over that time.

So i don't have any GY6 spares, you would have to send yours in to get lightened. Its only a 1 day turnaround so i minimize as much downtime as possible.

I do take material off the face as well, but I keep it within the safe limits. I could get super crazy with a flywheel if someone wanted me to, but it would eventually fly apart and fail, taking out the radiator or possibly even the engine case. To me its not worth the risk.

Hello. I am interested in lightening one of my 3 flywheels. I do not need a tool rental.

I have 2 flywheels up for sale or trade. Do you buy these? Thanks.

I shipped mine from Japan. Shipping takes an extra week compared to peeps in the States. Got it back and looks really nice. Mine was rusty and old looking. Got it back looking like it was better than new....This guys does really nice work. If any one is on the fence about doing theirs....I'd say DO IT! :banger:
