Sounds like you have a Keihin carb. In which case that is a vent line.

Does the Sheng Wey & Keihin Carb share the same Jet Size/Style?

Wondered this thought before heading to bed.....had to turn on the computer to post up at 2:30 am..... If I didn't post up...I'm positive I would forget.

-Honest

PS. Searched in the past but don't think I ever found the answer.

Yes they do Mike. Well at least the jets that I send with my carb kits do. I can't say about anyone else because I really don't know for sure.

I just mocked the manifold up the head and saw that the manifold is about 1/8" wider than the head bore (ported BTW so wider than stock), so I have a question...

Would there be any benefits to contouring the head to the manifold for smoother flow? It's seems like the air could collect around the corners and create turbulence.

Yes I would match the head to the manifold if I were you for the best transition and no obstruction to flow. You may not actually feel a seat of the pants difference but it is best to have them matched.

DAMMIT! Never buy from CheapCycleParts.com! Sure, their prices are low for OEM stuff, but they take their sweet ass time to process your order! Magically after I emailed them about it, it has now shipped. Fuckers...

So, unless I perfectly tuned my carb on the first try (ever), I think the head boring worked to eliminate the bog. The only bog I'm running into is mid range which is a jetting issue, right?

Forget that last post. I was tuning from the stand. Things got alot worse once I rode the thing!

Today is tuning day, so hopefully I'll have some better info, but it still doesn't bog at all where people are having the issue!

It is ok here Jedi, this is actually my information thread anyway not the one with the prices in it. Although it is in my section, he may get more responses from the PC20 thread in Ruckus performance, but that is up to him if he wants to post there as well. Its all good, thanks.
