Guidelines:
Use the product name for the thread title.
The review has to be at least two paragraph long, be interesting and informative to read, and related to the scene, don't do a review on Wallmart or how you hate Verizon. No drive by reviews, no lazy three line long reviews. Include details like price, shipping, availability, anything that a person looking to buy this product would find useful.
Include at least one good picture of the product taken by you that clearly shows the product being reviewed.
Pro and Con breakdown at the end.
You cannot do a review if you sell or are involved financially with the product being reviewed, but you can answer questions.
Absolutely no threadjacking, pornography or any sort of douchbagery, questions and answers must be on point.
Check for an existing product review before starting a new one. Additional reviews for the same product from other members should be added to the existing one and follow the same guideline as above.
Reviews that do not meet the above requirements will get deleted. We want the section to be helpful for users researching products.

What's going on? Decided on a new hobby and purchased a 2014 ruckus. Was wondering if you guys could help me out with some mods...

Seat frame - looking for the lowest, furthest, and best fitment
Foot rest brace - comfortable and good fitment
Rear coil over - nice ride and low ride height. (Also would it be weird if I just lowered the rear not the front?)
Frame extension kit - I've read things that I would need longer cables and lines?
Gas tank cover - best fitment

Any tips, pics, and ideas would be greatly appreciated. These are the basic mods I will be doing within the next week. Any good prices and reviews of particular brands let me know. Thanks!

High!

Ok here's my take on what you are looking for:
1) seat frame: lowest and longest back is DORF by mnnthbx
2) foot rest- depends on your height, I am tall 6'3", I have mnnthbx PEGLEGS w/ drowsports pegs
3) rear shock- you'll need an engine extension to mount any aftermarket shock. Many are adjustable or length is listed. If you're gonna lower the back, you'll want to even it out by lowering the front.... I hope.
4) frame extension- are you sure you want a frame extension and not an engine extension? Frame extension goes between the front frame and tear frame. Engine extension physically moves the motor and shock back. Depending on your handlebar setup, yoy may or may not need longer cables.
5) tank cover- IMHO HOODRICH designs makes the nicest

Hope that helps, and welcome!

With that being said what is a good suspension combo? Rear coil over and front forks ,for drums. I will not be running a big brake or disc brake kit.

You can mount most rear shocks made for the ruckus with out a stretch its only when you get into eye to eye shocks that an adaptor is needed. Some aftermarket shocks are wider and will not fit with the stock airbox. For the front mnnthbx makes lowering springs for the stock forks or you can go with rrgs forks using the drum brake adaptor from mnnthbx. I dont have a tank cover yet but when i do i plan on a hoodrich designs model price is great too. Theres lots of info on suspension setups in the corner carving section.

I just read the guidelines of this section at the top of the page. This section is for writing reviews of products you have used not asking opinions of others. Make a build thread and ask questions there or another section that is more generalized and accepting of this type of topic. Alot of people hate these type of noob questions. There is also a thread dedicated to noob questions.
