Guidelines:
Use the product name for the thread title.
The review has to be at least two paragraph long, be interesting and informative to read, and related to the scene, don't do a review on Wallmart or how you hate Verizon. No drive by reviews, no lazy three line long reviews. Include details like price, shipping, availability, anything that a person looking to buy this product would find useful.
Include at least one good picture of the product taken by you that clearly shows the product being reviewed.
Pro and Con breakdown at the end.
You cannot do a review if you sell or are involved financially with the product being reviewed, but you can answer questions.
Absolutely no threadjacking, pornography or any sort of douchbagery, questions and answers must be on point.
Check for an existing product review before starting a new one. Additional reviews for the same product from other members should be added to the existing one and follow the same guideline as above.
Reviews that do not meet the above requirements will get deleted. We want the section to be helpful for users researching products.

PostPosted: Tue Sep 18, 2012 1:36 pm
Just received a handful of CF panels from PW:JDM and I have to say I am utterly offended by the state of them.

I ordered a rear section (luggage cover) and gas tank cover, both carbon fiber, earlier this year and recently decided to finish out 'the look' with the new underbody aero kit, extended tank cover and battery box. Here are a few things Password fails to mention;

:wc_flag: first and foremost, the aero kit does not mount in conjunction with the underbody aero piece. I tried mocking up the pieces together without mounting to the scooter, no configuration made sense. Then installed the extended tank cover and attempted to slip the aero piece over, just wasn't going to happen. It makes zero sense to me that you essentially a body kit sold in pieces that don't work together, wtf guys?

:wc_flag: secondly, they say some adjustments may be required for installation. The extended tank cover just doesn't fit. The edge along the front of the frame (behind the front wheel) is dimensionally incorrect. To get it to fit I'm going to have to use my dremel (and if I'm lucky) cut away at lest 3/4 of an inch of material (without destroying it) to get it to fit. This is just unacceptable.

:wc_flag: last and most importantly, the finish is beyond shitty. As I mentioned before, I have the luggage cover and standard tank cover and loved them, they are pristine. I don't know if they are going through a new manufacturer to produce them, they are getting lazy or if demand is so high they are just cranking them out and not paying attention to quality control. Whatever the case may be, a disclaimer on your site stating that each piece is a little unique does not cover your ass when I'm dropping $1,200 of my hard earned cash. Maybe one nick or tiny scuff on the underside that will never be seen. But the resin finish on these parts are riddled with pock marks, the battery box looks like it was hacked at with an xacto knife before shipping and some spots had what i thought were white spots but are in fact holes in the piece where light is shining through the fiber material.

I will not be ordering another part from you, I'm going to make do with what I have received but you definitely have lost a customer for life.

For posterity's sake, I've attached some pictures I took with my DSLR, not the photoshopped website images that hide EVERY SINGLE imperfection.

That sucks but, why do people need REAL carbon on their ruckus?! Seriously?! Just go get it wrapped in vinyl. Why waste your money on this? You are not saving any weight or anything.

It wouldn't be for the weight, it would be merely for the look. The reason people wouldn't simply get it wrapped in CF vinyl is because it doesn't give the "full effect" of carbon fiber material layered down with resin. (over fiberglass) The visual in person look pretty much is the biggest reason.

Why do people pay for real gold over fake gold? Why do people pay for real diamonds over cubic zirconia? Just to have the one step better than the people who have the lesser version.
