| I, also, just found time to read up on some essentials. . .among them, your unfortunate incident; words can't express how sorry I am, but am glad you're still alive. I wish you nothing but the best, really. |

I'm sorry to hear about your crash.
It reminds me just how lucky I was with my left turner to end up with nothing more than a few scrapes and bruises. Not having had my Ruck for three months is a lot different than not having both of my legs forever.
I wish you a speedy return to two wheels. _________________ "Everyone dies... Not everyone lives." |

Spacecoast, i dont believe we have ever spoke but damn man i am in awe of this whole story. i cant believe after loosing a leg and being in an accident of this magnitude that you are here posting on TR. i am glad you are in good spirits especially after the events you have been through. life is so hard sometimes its easy to get down. i am happy that you are stronger than most and that you still have the will to ride.
get well and i will pray for you. I not a crazy religous person but i have found that praying in time of need (though doing so is chicken shit, i know i should go to church) does work. keep us updated, that picture of your "fucked" ruckus is just "wow"... glad you are breathing.
and like another TRer said "look at the keys still in the ignition" nuts... _________________ artdoesart.com |

BRANDON!! Just popped in after a bunch of days away from the site & came across all this craziness. Blew my tiny mind. Just left you a message on your phone... I'm only a couple of blocks away so let me know if I can bring anything over for you, even if it's just some nice German beer from Prost.
You have been nothing but positive & positively entertaining since the day I met you on that uber-vanilla-milquetoast ride w/ that meetup group. I'll plan on doing the Twinline thing & hope to check in on you before then.
You got an army backing you up... it's good to see all the comments & support from the inhabitants of this Island of Misfit Toys. You deserve it all my friend. Sorry to see your shiny all crunchified. Is it at your place? I need to see this in person. Anyways, I'm just glad it wasn't worse for you. Looking forward to hearing more about the custom limb plans!

Damn Brandon what a brutal accident. I fucking hate motorcycle accidents, but that's part of the life we chose to lead. You always have a place to stay with me once you get that Triumph on the road. I hope to get up to Seattle later this year; we'll need to grab a beer or twelve. I want to see this bad ass leg of yours. _________________ Nonsense is better than no sense at all. |

Fuck! Where have I been? I'm truly sorry, man, and my prayers are with you. When you make your trip, be sure to stop in Indianapolis. You have a place to stay and beers are on me! You don't know me, but I already feel at home in this forum after a few weeks. Cheers, bro. You have the best attitude and that' exactly what you need.
My mother in law was NYPD moto patrol in a pursuit. She didn't know there was actually a second car and they got up behind her and bumped her. She went under a truck and they told her she would never walk again. Paralyzed. After years of surgeries and PT, she walks just fine. She is a beacon in this world for people to always have a good attitude and know you can make anything happen. You have that same attitude. You're a fucking hero - never forget that. Every person who can take this damage and say "that's all you got?" is an example for us all.
Good luck.

hey guys i hadnt looked at this thread for a while. Thank you so much for your kind words. I defintly plan on stopping by your hometowns on my big ride next summer to surf some couch.
Means a TON to see so much support it really does.
Been shopping in my down time (which i have a LOT of) and i just cant help gravitating back to choppers like my norton. Cross country on a hardtail thumper? You know it. Bedroll on the tank and a copy of Sidartha bungied to the fender. hahaha
the wrecked ruck is at twinline, so yall can peep it and we can all weep together.
thanks again everyone. _________________ Seatown scoot. |

I could not believe the pic when I saw it. I hope you are doing well spacecoast. I have a Harley friend who was looking at my Ruck:
He said, "I don't care what you do Pejay, but, just don't believe anyone in an intersection will ever do the right thing by you. Slow down even if ya have the green light or some cell phone talking idiot will run you over."
Now that I have seen your Ruck and read about you, his words really sink in. Take care sir.

I finally had time to catch up to TR after two months of intense
moving process.
Geezus, caused flashbacks to Christmas weekend a few years ago.
A similar thing happened with far less complications. A perp careened
down the street turning into my BR. I was knocked off the bike and
it was totalled. Took months to walk without pain. Left leg is still
showing signs of injury almost 21 months later.
I had read that something happened to Spacecoast but had no idea
of the details. PM'ed you and hope to help in anyway.
Had purchased parts from the FOR SALE area that were listed as
helping SPACECOAST but didn't realize it was so serious.
PLEASE to the rest of us must stay aware of the LEFT TURNING
cagers. They are the most common problems for bikers. Even
if they look innocent figure they are going to turn into you.
Wear BRIGHT clothes and be ready to give the right of way to
all of them. This situation is very common for bikers.
I'm humbled by the attitude you are maintaining. Hope recovery
is total and fast. Keep the faith and keep us posted on progress. _________________ "A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion.
