Was 100% other driver's fault. Police report confirms.
I have been through four surgeries to amputate my left leg below the knee and rebuild my femur, which was shattered in two places and compound fractured.
The bike's frontal frame wqas sheared in half.
I'm alive, and working on getting a prosthetic to get on a triumph and ride cross country as soon as i am able.
Spacecoast was a wonderful bike. It will be missed.

well, tell us the circumstances of the accident-
IF you don't mind and if you remember-
so we know what to avoid
no gory details man, just the street and traffic facts.
we await to hear the experience of a wise master _________________ totalruckus's biggest footpeg advocate and

it will happen. how is your spine? are you capable of walking- it's just a matter of learning to use a new leg? _________________ totalruckus's biggest footpeg advocate and

made eye contact with the guy as i approached green light. he was waiting to turn left. i was passing thru and he suddenly lurched into me. practically WHILE LOOKING AT ME.
my bike is 100% street legal and i was cruisng a cool 35.
spine is ok, just need to rehab the femur and learn to use the new leg once its done. _________________ Seatown scoot. |

Oh my goodness, your resolve is incredible, most that go through a situation like yours would probably never touch a 2-wheeler again. In all seriousness man, kudos for you living your life rather than letting life live you.
We all really need to be careful out there, no matter how many times it has been said, it can never be said enough. _________________ 09 Vespa S150

I sat here for about 5 minutes typing, deleting, typing and deleting. I just cant find the words.
Get better as soon as you can. Stay strong, and as they say.....stay frosty. |

dude, in all seriousness- you KNOW you gotta customize the leg.
make it an extension of you a part of you. don't think of it any differently than a tattoo, wedding ring or piercing..
make it bad-ass. custom. bionic. superhero.
your old leg isn't gone, it's evolved.
they do some amazing shit now.
you can do it man. keep us updated.
"I sat here for about 5 minutes typing, deleting, typing and deleting. I just cant find the words. "
me, i can't shut the fuck up.
unless you want to keep the ruck as a souveneir, you oughtta part it out
guys here would bid on parts, you make some scratch to put towards the new bike..
i see a frame brace, a seat, a pipe (maybe) a rear tire....etc etc. _________________ totalruckus's biggest footpeg advocate and
