5/9/08
Today was another eventful day, but not with the ruckus I had to build a B-Pipe for a Subaru, and with how hot it is outside today, it just about killed me... lol! But that came out awesome!
So, the only thing that got done to the Ruckus today is a little bit more dreaming and planning, and i did get a lot of measuring done...
First though, i decided to see out of pure curiosity, what this would look like if the motor was mounted on-center, like a "normal" scooter or motorcycle would have it.
Not too bad But THIS is what we're going after:
So of COURSE, i HAD to get up on the table, and balance VERY precariously on top of this thing just to see what it'll look like with an actual rider on it... damn, i can't wait until this thing is rolling!
Thats all for today folks... Tune in Monday for much more Ruck-ROaring Adventures!

good luck turning.
and if you are planning on having it that low, you might want some pads on the bottom of your helmet so you dont bruise your knees. _________________ Sgt. Slaughter |

That looks like shit. It needs to be lower.
LMFAO!!!
Jeebus H man, that thing is seriously gonna be one of the sickest lookin' scoots ever created. I am TOTALLY addicted to this build. Love it!
Just wish I could afford to have you build me something similar. _________________

wg2007: This isn't being built to run up to publix for grocery shopping, nor is it being built for a daily commute to and from work... its GOING to be akward, and its GOING to be difficult and uncomfortable to ride _________________ John.W

TC: haha! believe me man, i want to... with where the gas prices are right now, i want to start commuting with it, so the sooner i can get it done, the better... but i want to get this one done first Besides, 2 threads at once might be a bit much.. haha!
Thunder & Zya: yea, apparently they had an issue with the router at my host, and had to reboot my server nad the router, and do a bit of troubleshooting. Its up now though
mrwyatt: Yes, that is indeed what you spy... haha!
bowery: Ya, TC might be up for that.. lol! dunno though, there are a couple of other things that i know he is wanting to do first though before we cross that bridge. The grinded off look could be cool... maybe clear powdercoat over it.. hmmm. Maybe the next one... this one is going more for the hot rod look with nice and shiny powdercoat and stuff _________________ John.W

So, other than being awkward, difficult and uncomfortable. How is it gonna be awesome? I, seriously, think I'm missing something, here. _________________

Did you sit on the final product? Did you drive it? I must have missed the unveiling, sucks for me. How fast did it go? Did he have to use a stick to balance the thing like a trapeze? How uncomfortable was it, did he have to go get meds for back pain? When was this bike finished?
Or maybe it was an encouraging comment for someone to be different. I think Cosmo's got some skill, I doubt the finished product will be awkward, difficult, and uncomfortable. Unless you know different. Maybe tell him what he should be doing. Heck, he'll probably even pay you with his dad's money.
How do you know what Cosmo's dad wants anyways? _________________ Join us for conversation in the TR FIGHTBOX located near the bottom of the page.

how about we all chill out a bit and just watch the progression of this part ruckus, part beast machine.
if it was my ruckus, i would have the motor under the seat and the nos on the floor. but its not mine and im not the one building it. if he can mount the motor like that, then it sure will be a one of a kind lol.
but maybe to make it less awkward the seat should be a bit farther back and just as low for more foot room. and in the pictures his hands were below drag bar height..so unless you are having some negative height bars, its not quite an accurate preview. but then again its only a preview. *cough cough* apehangers *cough*
just suggestions. its not my scooter. im not the one building it and i couldnt even weld one thing on lol. there is some mega craftsmanship going into this and im just honored to see it from the stock scoot stage. _________________ Sgt. Slaughter |
