Why was the Supertrap a pain in the ass? It's a Beams right?
Props on doing your own work. Make me wish I did a better job on cleaning up my taillight mount on the frame . |

The Beams uses the aluminum race series muffler, to get it to perform the best it needs most of the discs which makes it as loud or louder than the RPM. If you want to try quieting down it seems to get real temperamental. When you take in all the other aspects of jetting with an intake and pipe, then toss in the fact that you can change the flow of the pipe, as much as you would think it would make things easier, it really just makes them more complicated. _________________ Rogue Ruckus

Well shit, I was all set on getting one soon, but I can't deal with anything that loud I'm afraid . |

It comes with 8 discs. With three to four I would say its about as loud as the Yosh. With eight your just a little quieter than chevy 350 with straight pipes. _________________ Rogue Ruckus

Patience young grasshopper
And this was done with a dremel with regular cutting discs just to see if it could be done. 30 minutes and 5 discs is all it took.

| PJ, were you able to scoot your seat back as well as lower it? My buddy Jeff can weld steel, but he hasn't tried aluminum. Neither of us want to drop 160 for a new lowered seat, so we're thinking of doing the chop ourselves. We got all the tools. So is the seat also scooted back? That's what we need, I'm practically sitting on the bar. |

Yeah it moves it back, I took about 2 inches out of the front. Once you cut the section out of the front part of the tubes, be prepared for them not to match up perfectly when you weld them back together. Grinding and some mud will be needed (the tubing isn't perfectly round).
