Over 100 miles in one trip. So this weekend I rode 65 miles to Denver, 30-40 in Denver and 65 home, that's 170 in a weekend, I'd say that's not quite epic...
Anything over 100 miles in a day, epic.
RTD riding 300+ in one day at the SF Classic, epic.
And what is epic for a 50 is NOT epic for a big bike. |

Well, I wouldn't necessarily say epic, but, one day I had a physical therapy appt about 35 miles sw of my house. Afterwards, I had a Dr.s appt about 25 miles ne of my house. So I rode the Ruckus to PT, then went by my house a couple blocks away to my dr.s appt, then back home. Total trip was about 115 miles. I topped off fuel before I left and the fuel light didn't come on until 2 days later, about 10 miles later.
I don't know if this qualifies as I had a couple different stops for like 45 mins each.
EDIT to fix direction _________________ 2006 Ruckus, white, stock with a Chanito wind screen.

it's EPIC if, during your rambling journey, you meet strange beings, like harpies and sirens and cyclops and it takes 20 years or so to get back home again!
but I agree....500 miles in one day on a Ruckus IS an epic ride. _________________ BioHazard

500 miles on a ruckus...quick math at averaging 40 mph means 12.5 hours! |

Another qualification is taking pictures during your ride/journey. I won't go to the doctor and take pictures along the way to show my journey to the doctor's office. Then again I don't live in California. _________________ Join us for conversation in the TR FIGHTBOX located near the bottom of the page.

in no means offensive,
Doctor appointments, lame errands = not epic
No storytelling aspect = not epic
Nothing interesting happening = not epic
No photologging = less epic points |

The photo part is going to keep me out of any of these. Nothing more annoying than having to pull over from a 50mph cruise just to take a picture every mile or two. I try to take as many pictures as I can, but sometimes I just want to ride.
That said, I took over 200 pictures for the Sportique ride this weekend and that was not epic. |

I wouldnt' just take pictures either if I was just on a cruise. That's why there isn't a cruise section.....yet. _________________ Join us for conversation in the TR FIGHTBOX located near the bottom of the page.

LOL no offense taken. I had missed the the suggestion thread and didn't know the criteria. I was using IHAR's description of 100+ miles in a day.
What I find funny is people thinking I'm crazy or something for riding more than 5 or so miles on a 50cc.
